Wooden Slat Acoustic Wall Panels

Wooden Slat Acoustic Wall Panels

Our Wood Wall Panels are manufactured for internal use and are not weather proofed for external use.

We currently offer the most popular colours: Walnut and Natural Oak from our natural wood veneer range and Burnt Walnut and Light Grey Oak from our Technical Veneer range. More colour options will be available soon. Please email if you have a specific requirement.

All our panels can be installed vertically or horizontally. Installation methods are the same either way – the only difference is which way the battens run if you are using this installation method. Battens should always be installed in the opposite direction to the panels.

To improve acoustic and insulation performance of our panels, we recommend the use of battens for installation and the addition of a 45-50mm mineral wool insulation fitted within the cavity (see our installation instructions for full details).

The panels have been engineered and manufactured to show an exposed edge as a design feature. Corner trims could be added if a different effect/finish is required.

Our Wood Wall Panels are 2400mm in length and 600mm in width with a PET felt backing of 9mm depth and slats of 12mm giving an overall depth of 21mm. Each panel covers 1.44m2.

Our Wood Wall Panels are very versatile and easy to install. We recommend the use of an electric jigsaw with a small-toothed blade to make intricate cuts within the panel.

As our Wood Wall Panels are made using MDF and wood veneer, they are not waterproof or moisture resistant. We do not advise the use of the panels in high moisture environments as they may suffer damage over time.

Splash Pro Waterproof Panel FAQs

The panels are individually wrapped and come in boxes of 6 panels giving an m2 coverage of 4.914m2.

The panels can be installed on any surface, including brick, concrete, timber, plasterboard and over ceramic tiles plus more. The surface must be clear of any debris, obstructions and grime. We recommend that the surface is treated with a waterproof coating (‘tanked’) prior to installation for waterproofing.

It is quite straightforward to cut the panels to fit around any object with the use of a fine-bladed jigsaw. Once installed, ensure that any edges of panelling are sealed with a clear, waterproof silicone sealant to stop moisture getting through.

Absolutely! The panels are designed and manufactured to be 100% waterproof so are ideal for any areas of high moisture and humidity. They are not recommended for use in areas of high temperatures so behind a hob/cooker is not recommended.

The panels are super easy to install. The tongue and groove design means that the spacing is always perfect giving a seamless finish. The panels can be installed using a waterproof, solvent-free adhesive.

SplashPro panels are not recommended for use in external areas. However, we do have an external equivalent available. Take a look at our Exterior ShadowClad range for products and information.

Although we do our best to show the panels as real to life as possible, we cannot guarantee that the image you see is the same as the real thing. Monitor settings and lighting can affect the images. All our panels are manufactured using the highest quality resin finish for colour-fastness and look. We have a sample service available to ‘try before you buy’.

We have matching edge and corner mouldings available for all SplashPro panels, or for a different look  the use of a suitable L-shape trim available from the majority of major DIY chains  can be used to finish off any visible edges. This should be finished with a clear silicone sealant to reduce the risk of water ingress.

Although we don’t supply an alternative size panel, the ease of install and cutting and the design of the panels allows for install either width-ways or length-ways to cover any required area.

ShadowClad External Slat Wall Panels

External Slat Wall Panels are a lightweight and durable and manufactured using a combination of hard wood fibres and recycled plastics. The use of this mix of materials means the panels can be used on both exterior and interior installations. It is weather and waterproof and gives an aesthetically pleasing and low maintenance finish to any area. Composite products are widely used as a better alternative to traditional timber alternatives. They provide protection from the elements and add thermal insulation.

External Slat Wall Panels are extremely easy to install. We have full installation instructions available showing ‘how to’ in a step by step guide. Designed and manufactured using an interlocking system, the panels are lightweight and durable and can be used in a number of situations.

Temperature changes can cause composite board to expand or contract. We recommend that the boards are left for at least 48 hours to acclimatise to the surrounding temperature before install is started. It is not recommended to install the panels in extremely hot or cold temperatures.

No specialist tools are needed to install the panels. The panels can be installed using the same tools as would be used to install timber panels.

The panels are designed and manufactured using the highest quality materials to withstand the elements and reduce fading and weathering. There may be a small percentage of fading in the weeks following installation, however this will be minimal due to the high quality resin used in the timber effect finish.

Unfortunately not. As with all surfaces, regular cleaning will ensure the look and integrity of the panels will remain and reduce the risk damage. We have a simple care and maintenance guide available on our website outlining the basic requirements to keep your panels looking perfect and performing as expected.

Being manufactured from a composite material, the panels will not rot or splinter.

The panels are designed to mimic the effect and look of real timber so there is a variation in colour and grain to enhance the real timber look of the panels.

The panels are an engineered product so will not be impacted by insect. Although not prone to mould and or fungus, we recommend regular cleaning and maintenance to ensure there is no build-up of spores.

The panels should be stored on a flat, level surface which supports the length of the board. It is recommended to store the panels on a pallet to ensure they are not sat directly on wet or cold ground. Either inside or a cool shaded spot is best.

As composite products will expand and contract with surrounding conditions, you should not seal the installation and an allowance should be made for air flow. Also allow some air flow between the panels and the surface when fitting trims.

The panels have a 10 year Domestic Manufacturer Warranty. Warranty Registration must be applied for within 48 days of the purchase of the panels and installation instructions followed to ensure successful registration. Warranty Registration is via a link on our website. Images of the base surface, joist install and installation of the panels will be required, along with proof of purchase, in order for the Warranty to be registered successfully.

Our products are available nationwide through our network of Builders Merchants or through our Website.

Shiplap Composite Cladding

Composite cladding is a lightweight and durable mix of materials that you can use to cover the exterior of your home or any out-door building to provide a weatherproof aesthetically pleasing finish. Composite cladding boards are used widely because they are a better alternative to timber and other cladding materials. It also provides protection from nature’s elements and adds insulation.

No – Shiplap Composite Cladding is a blend of Hard Wood Fibres (ethically sourced from reclaimed materials), recycled polyethylene (typically attained from recycled plastic milk bottles that would have otherwise ended up in landfill), bonding agent and high-quality colour tint. The resulting product is a long lasting, hardwearing, low maintenance alternative to traditional timber cladding. It is a sustainable solution for any project. Composite cladding is made of recycled materials only.

Composite cladding comes with lots of advantages that makes it a true alternative to wood.

  • Superior durability than timber cladding.
  • Lightweight – making it easy to install.
  • Easy Maintenance – no need to stain, oil or paint, just a simple clean.
  • Will not splinter, warp, swell or rot.
  • Environmentally friendly.

Our shiplap composite cladding boards come in a unique set of colours to complement your project. The colour options can be found on the Shiplap product page.

Shiplap composite cladding boards are designed and manufactured to replicate the natural variants of timber cladding. We recommended to purchase all boards required for the project at the same time, as this will ensure colour consistency. We recommend laying out all the boards before installation to ensure a natural effect of grain and colour tone is balanced across the whole of your cladding. As with all materials exposed to direct sunlight, some natural weathering will occur over time

Our shiplap composite cladding is designed to withstand the elements, providing exceptional resistance to weathering due to the design and production process encompassing the board with a protective outer layer. This does not affect our composite cladding in any way, only enhances its performance.

The protective outer layer on our composite cladding will ensure it is highly UV and stain resistant,  allowing your project to retain a wonderful finish, remaining the same for a long time.

Our composite cladding will fade to a lighter colour between twelve to sixteen weeks after you expose it to sunlight and rain. It is around this time that you will notice the colour reduction. After this period, our composite cladding colour will remain the same throughout the lifetime of the cladding.

No, composite cladding is not maintenance-free. For your cladding to last a long time, you have to clean it regularly. Please review our care and maintenance guide to make sure you cladding looks perfect for years to come.

Yes, shiplap composite cladding expands and contracts due to temperature fluctuations. The correct spacing between cladding boards is important to ensure the durability of the installation. The recommended spacing can be found on our installation guides.

Our composite cladding will not rot or splinter after installation. Shiplap composite cladding has the additional advantage that it will not swell because it has a capped surface that reduces moisture absorption.

Our composite cladding comes with a 20 year residential warranty and 10 years on commercial use as long as they have been installed according to our installation and care guides.

CClad Composite Cladding Boards should always be stored in a cool shaded spot, on a flat and level surface which supports the whole length of the Boards. It is recommended to store the Boards on a pallet to ensure they are not sat directly on wet or cold ground.

Shiplap Composite cladding is easy to install. The process of installing cladding can be found on the following link: Shiplap Installation Video.  Also, you can cut Shiplap cladding easily during the process of installation but we do recommended any cut pieces to be installed straight away.

Temperature changes could cause the Boards to expand or contract. Ensure Boards have had sufficient time to acclimatise to the temperature before installing. Do not install in extreme temperatures.

Composite cladding requires no specialist tools. The boards can be installed using the same tools you would use to install timber cladding.

Please do not completely seal your installation, allow some air to flow between the Cladding Boards and the surface below when fitting the trims.
